The cello and piano duo Igor Škerjanec and Vladimir Mlinarić appear in the Knights’ Hall with a programme consisting of works by Vivaldi, Beethoven, Škerjanc and Brahms. A soloist with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Igor Škerjanec is also active as a chamber musician and a soloist with various other orchestras both in Slovenia and abroad. Of particular note is his work with the Trio Luwigana, with which he has travelled over almost the whole of Europe and North America. The other musician at this evening’s concert, Vladimir Mlinarić, has also been a member of the Trio Luwigana. As a soloist and a member of various chamber ensembles, he has performed in the major musical centres of Europe, United States, Canada, Russia, Chile and China. Both Mlinarić and Škerjanec are recipients of the Society of Slovene Musical Artists’ Betetto Award and the City of Ljubljana’s Župančič Award.
