Les Brasseurs Quintet is a brass quintet founded in 2019 with the aim of bringing together five young musicians who are well-established in the European orchestral and solo scene: Dario Tarozzo, Giovanni Lucero, Giovanni Campanardi, Antonio Mascherpa, and Salvatore Continenza. These members boast collaborations as permanent or guest musicians with major opera and symphonic institutions across Italy, such as the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Regio in Turin, Orchestra of the Saint Cecilia National Academy, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, and Orchestra Haydn from Bolzano and Trient, among others. In addition to numerous concerts throughout Italy, the quintet played at the 62nd Spoleto Festival of 2Worlds, collaborated with Gioventù Musicale Italiana (since 2022), and performed for Parma, Italian Cultural Capital 2020/21 and Brescia and Bergamo, Italin Cultural Capitals 2023. The group also distinguished itself at the prestigious Philip Jones International Brass Ensemble Competition held in Birmingham, reaching the semifinals with notable commendations from both the jury and the audience.
