COLOMBIAN BRASS QUINTET

Colombian Brass Quintet was founded in 2018 to stage concerts representing the sound of brass instruments and perform Colombian and global music in various countries across Central America, including Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Guatemala. Subsequently, the ensemble performed several concert series in Colombia and, in 2017, they toured Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with performances at some of the most prestigious venues, including the Tonhalle Zurich in Switzerland, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, and the Frankfurt Alte Oper. Nowadays, the Quintet performs select concerts across Europe by season. Currently, all members are studying in Europe and are part of the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart, and the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. There they study with Professors Will Sanders, Reinhold Friedrich, and Thomas Leyendecker. Additionally, its members have performed with orchestras such as the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Spanish National Orchestra, the Stuttgart State Opera, and the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra.
