Vlado Kreslin’s concert tonight in Križanke!

Vlado Kreslin’s traditional concert at the end of August heralds the imminent end of the summer and, at the same time, the end of the summer festival. Kreslin’s sensitive original music and wonderful arrangements of folk songs have been filling the outdoor theatre of Ljubljana’s Križanke complex for almost three decades, and continue to delight audiences. His loveliest songs – such as Namesto koga roža cveti, Preko Mure preko Drave, Z Goričkega v Piran and Tudi čez tisoč let – undoubtedly still resound among generations of his listeners. Having performed most frequently with his group Mali Bogovi and the traditional Beltinška Banda, he has punctuated his musical career with a range of collaborations with a great variety of domestic and foreign musicians such as Rade Šerbedžija, Josipa Lisac, Vlatko Stefanovski, Mary Coughlan, Siddharta, Severa and Gal Gjurin, and many others. This year once again he will bid farewell to the summer with his black guitar and, as usual, will be joined on stage by an interesting range of musical guests.
