Violinist and violin teacher Lana Trotovšek made her debut in 2012 with a performance of Prokofiev’s first violin concerto with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev. Through numerous performances and collaborations throughout the world, this exceptionally talented artist, who is based in London, has built herself a rich international career. She appears at this concert with the Dissonance Ensemble, consisting of musicians from leading Slovene musical institutions. Founded by cellist Klemen Hvala, the Dissonance Institute, under whose auspices the Ensemble operates, is dedicated to the promotion of chamber music in Slovenia. In the forthcoming season, the Ensemble will also be working with some of the most prominent Slovene musicians and acclaimed global artists, including conductor Marko Letonja, soprano Nika Gorič, pianist Fazil Say, guitarist Mak Grgić, violinists Dmitry Sitkovetsky and Antje Weithaas, and accordionist Richard Galliano.

According to the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health, all health services will be provided at the events.

Please be advised that in accordance with the updated Ordinance on temporary measures to reduce the risk of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and contain the spread of infection (UL RS 188/2020), the disinfection of hands and use of a protective face mask are compulsory in closed public spaces, and also in open public spaces, if the minimum of 2 meters safety distance can not be provided.

All visitors are requested to consistently observe the compulsory and recommended preventive measures to limit the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and in this way ensure the protection of their own health and that of others.
