We invite you view the recording of the final evenings of the 1st Ljubljana Festival International Piano Competition, which will premiere on 25 June at 9.30 pm on the French Mezzo TV, one of the leading television houses dedicated to classical music and jazz. The premiere will be followed by five more repetitions until 4 July.
The competition, which was the first of its kind in our country, took place from 25 February to 4 March 2023, and was attended by 22 pianists from 14 countries, born between 1992 and 2006. The first place was taken by Kai-Min Chang from of Taiwan, who played Concerto for Piano and Orchestra no. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 S. Rachmaninoff.
The artistic director of the competition, Epifanio Comis, says that “the competition has already occupied a special place in the music world, as it was created within the framework of a well-known and prestigious European festival”.
The international piano competition will take place again in 2026.
