1. Scope of application
This Privacy Policy relates to the use of personal data for all individuals who communicate their personal details to Ljubljana Festival, Trg francoske revolucije 1, 1000 Ljubljana, which is also the controller of personal data.

3. Scope of personal data processing and purpose of collection of personal data
Personal data processing means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data that are processed by automated means, are manually processed as part of a personal data filing system or are intended for inclusion in a personal data filing system, in particular collection, acquisition, entry, organisation, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, reporting, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, anonymisation, erasure or destruction; processing may be performed manually or by automated means (means of processing).
The purpose of collecting, processing, keeping and using data is: statistical processing, segmentation of buyers, processing previous shopping behaviour, sending out special offers, promotional material and invitations to events, and for telephone, written and electronic surveys, notification about prize competitions organised by Ljubljana Festival or organised by another legal entity in conjunction with Ljubljana Festival.

In the case of use of the Ljubljana Festival website, the action of a user who, when registering as a member of the Ljubljana Festival Club, clicks the checkbox indicating consent for Ljubljana Festival to use personal data for the purposes specified and then clicks on the “Confirm” button to confirm that they accept and agree to the Privacy Policy, shall be considered personal consent.
In cases where the registration form is filled out on paper, the individual agrees, by signing the form, that their personal data may be used for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and that they agree with this Privacy Policy.
The controller shall process the following personal data of a user who has entered them in the registration form: first name and last name, street address, post code, town/city, email address, telephone number (landline), telephone number (mobile) and civil status (optional).
The controller shall use your personal data (first name and last name, address, email address, telephone number (landline or mobile) from the registration form for the purposes of operations involving the Ljubljana Festival Club card and use of the benefits which Ljubljana Festival offers Ljubljana Festival Club cardholders, for direct marketing purposes, including informing about events, new operational criteria and special offers from Ljubljana Festival, and to study shopping habits for the consequent implementation of targeted marketing, on the basis of which the user will be eligible for special, customised offers and benefits. Registration as a member of the Ljubljana Festival Club requires consent to the processing of the above personal data. Please note that you are only required to provide one telephone number which we can use to contact you in the case of emergencies such as the cancellation of events or in order to inform you in good time about special offers relating to individual events.
Civil status is not a required field or condition for registration as a member of the Ljubljana Festival Club. This information is collected merely for the purpose of studying shopping habits and, consequently, to adapt offers with regard to the indicated status, on the basis of which users may be eligible for special, customised offers and benefits.

- E-newsletter sign-up – Privacy Policy notice
You can sign up for the Ljubljana Festival e-newsletter by entering your email address on the ljubljanafestival.si website. Ljubljana Festival will use the e-newsletter to inform you about events, marketing activities and other promotions.
By signing up for the e-newsletter you also enrol in the database of recipients of benefits (discounts, prize competitions) which Ljubljana Festival reserves for e-newsletter recipients.
For the purposes of e-newsletter sign-up, Ljubljana Festival collects your email address, IP address and consent.
After submitting the sign-up form containing your email address, you will receive a confirmation email – by clicking on the link in the confirmation email you will be subscribed to the Ljubljana Festival e-newsletter until such time as you unsubscribe (“opt-in approval”). You can request the personal data controller to permanently or temporarily stop using your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time, either in writing or by clicking the Unsubscribe from e-newsletter button. Your request will be approved within 15 days of receipt of the request at the latest.

4. Consent to processing of personal data
When a user registers as a member of the Ljubljana Festival Club and, in doing so, clicks the checkbox indicating consent for Ljubljana Festival to use personal data for the purposes specified and then clicks on the “Confirm” button to confirm that they accept and agree to the Privacy Policy, they shall be considered to have given the personal consent to the use and processing of personal data that is required under applicable regulations on the protection of personal data. On the basis of the user’s personal consent, the personal data controller may process the personal data for the purposes described in point 3.
Responsibility for the correctness, accuracy and up-to-dateness of the personal data submitted to the controller lies exclusively with the user themselves.
5. Right of the user to request the controller to stop using their personal data
A user may request at any time, either in writing or in another agreed manner (e.g. via email), that the personal data controller permanently or temporarily stop using their personal data for direct marketing purposes. The controller shall take adequate steps to block the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes within 15 (fifteen) days and notify the user who requested this either in writing or in another agreed manner (e.g. via email) within a further 5 (five) days.
6. Protection of personal data
When processing and handling a user’s personal data, the controller shall act in accordance with the requirements of regulations governing the protection of personal data.
For the purposes of protecting personal data, the controller shall use organisational, technical and other appropriate procedures and measures in order to prevent the unauthorised destruction of data, their alteration or loss, and their unauthorised processing. Since the Ljubljana Festival website contains links to other websites that are in no way affiliated to Ljubljana Festival, the controller assumes no responsibility for the protection of users’ data on these websites.
The controller likewise accepts no responsibility for errors that are the consequence of incorrect data being submitted on registration on the website or the communication of incorrect or incomplete data.
7. Storage period for personal data

8. Rights of the user
Ljubljana Festival guarantees the exercise of all rights of users in connection with the protection of personal data, in accordance with applicable regulations.
