We would like to inform all visitors that the 4th concert of the Tartini String Quartet, scheduled for Tuesday, 31 January, has been postponed to 21 February due to illness. The location and the time of beginning of the concert remain unchanged.

Internationally renowned orchestras

Internationally renowned orchestras will appear in the heart of Ljubljana:

  • the Baltic Sea Philharmonic is a unique Nordic orchestra that transcends traditional musical boundaries under the leadership of artistic director and founding conductor Kristjan Järvi
  • the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra – Austria’s most versatile orchestra and an orchestra, which carries the golden Viennese orchestral tradition in it’s heart – is coming to the Ljubljana Festival for the first time this year; it will perform under the baton of the young British conductor Kerem Hasan, with cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras appearing as soloist
  • the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra will also accompany world-famous opera stars under the direction of Jochen Rieder, Michelangelo Mazza, Mario De Rose and Mate Bekavac
  • we are also looking forward to concert with the the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the resident orchestra of the 2021 Ljubljana Festival, which will be conducted by maestro Charles Dutoit
  • SNG Opera and ballet Ljubljana Orchestra will perform with conductor Domingo Hindoyan
