Audiences and critics highly appreciate the Duo Schiavo-Marchegiani as musical personalities known for their exceptional expressiveness and naturalness, the beauty of sounds, intensity and the all-pervading energy that characterises their performances. A wonderful musical experience is to be expected at which the pianists Sergio Marchegiani and Marco Schiavo, one of the most active and dynamic piano duos on the Italian and international music scene, have unified their vision on the black and white keys. They perform solo concerts in many countries and since 2006 they have held many concerts together in the world’s most prestigious concert halls and at the most famous festivals; for example New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Golden Hall of the Viennese Musikverein and the Vienna Konzerthaus. Their brilliant careers have also made them regular guests of the most prestigious orchestras, such as the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, and orchestras from Budapest, Sofia, New York, Madrid and elsewhere. In 2014 the record label Decca Records published their first CD, dedicated to F. Schubert, which received much positive critical acclaim.
