Kostandin Tashko, born in Tirana (Albania) in 1997, studied at the Jordan Misja Artistic Lyceum in Tirana under Valbona Kasaj. After graduating in 2016 he continued his training at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory of Music in Trieste under the guidance of Teresa Trevisan, his current mentor. He regularly attends the seminars of pianist Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia di Pinerolo in Turin. He has performed as a soloist and with orchestras in Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Kosovo, Macedonia, Slovenia and Switzerland. A remarkably gifted young musician, he has been invited to numerous festivals and venues in his home country, including the University of Arts (UART) in Tirana, the National Theatre, Tirana Opera House and the Pianodrom Festival (2013–2019). He has been the recipient of international scholarships and taken part in numerous masterclasses around Europe, where he has studied with distinguished teachers such as: Heribert Koch (Germany), Șerban-Dimitrie Soreanu (Romania), Bożena Maciejowska Banaszkiewicz (Poland), Claus-Christian Schuster (Austria), Ruben Dalibaltayan (Armenia/Croatia), Olivier Gardon (France), Dubravka Tomšič Srebotnjak (Slovenia) and Vincenzo Balzani (Italy). He has won nine international competitions in Italy and Croatia since March 2017 and last year took first prize at the Radovljica International Piano Competition in Slovenia. He has recently been invited to record his first album for the prestigious label KNS Classical with the support of the Fondazione Kathleen Foreman Casali.
