Important information
The fifth June in Ljubljana Festival will enrich the capital’s life with its wide and varied programme. The mornings at the Congress Square will be reserved for the youngest audience; afternoons will be devoted to lighter dance and musical genres, whereas in the evenings we will be able to enjoy top theatre, dance and opera productions as well as concerts by renowned cultural institutions and artists. And all this – for free!
The festival will open its doors with a breathtaking ballet evening Tango, featuring the outstanding ballet dancers of the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor in the choreography by Edward Clug. This year, the traditional project of the Triad, aimed to connect the artistic academies of the Ljubljana University. Hidden in the genre-wise rich and diverse programme are some other treasuries as well and among them the Washing Machines Concert, under the baton of the internationally recognised Slovenian artist Vlado G. Repnik.
The June 2013 in Ljubljana Festival will end on the day of the summer solstice, when our capital will join again more than 340 cities around the world to celebrate the Holiday of Music. Therefore, we are to experience a lot of interesting music and dancing around the city streets and squares throughout the day.
