Atalante Quartet was founded in 2014, this young ensemble brings together musicians from the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Their interpretation of chamber music is informed by their personal experience with members of the Alban Berg Quartet, the Hagen Quartet, the Wiener Streichsextett and Ferenc Rados or Andras Schiff. Above all, regular work with Johannes Meissl (member of the Artis Quartet) and Hatto Beyerle have shaped the ensemble significantly. In 2018 the ensemble won the first prize at the international chamber music competition Svirel in Slovenia. The highest priority of the Atalante Quartet is to keep this tradition alive, while at the same time building an essential sense of togetherness as they harness their inspiration and challenge themselves.
Dombrova Piano Duo was created by two young, ambitious, loving music pianists from Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland. Łukasz Szubski and Krzysztof Włodarczyk have been friends since they were 6. Both began their musical education at School of Music, where they met attending piano lessons with the same teacher – M. Adamczyk. The tutor awakened in them a passion for the instrument and classical music. In 2010 Łukasz and Krzysztof started studies at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. During the next five years they used every opportunity to work with eminent pianists and pedagogues of Polish classical music scene. Both musicians have performed numerous concerts in youth and community centres and during special events such as the sSAFka Student Art Festival in Katowice, concert in Royal Albert Hall in London, concert in the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice, concert in the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk and a concerts at the Palace of Culture in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Currently Łukasz and Krzysztof work at the School of Music in Dąbrowa Górnicza as piano teachers and accompanists. Since 2011 they both have been working as pianists for the Silesian Philharmonic performing a wide repertoire of classical and popular music.
