Flauccord Duo, a duo consisting of two students from the Ljubljana Academy of Music, won a gold plaque and first prize with a perfect score of 100 points at this year’s TEMSIG competition. Flautist Sofija Mihailović has enchanted numerous audiences with the exceptional musicality of her playing, distinguishing herself both as a soloist and as a member of various orchestras and ensembles. Among her accolades are an outright victory at the International Gathering of Flautists Tahir Kulenović, a gold plaque at the Emona Competition and a third prize at the Anton Eberst Competition for Flute and Clarinet in Novi Sad. In 2023 she won first prize in the under-21 category at the Bratislava International Flute Competition and achieved third place in the under-30 category at the Flauta Aurea Flautist Competition in Croatia, receiving a special commendation for the best performance of Sonata in A minor for Solo Flute  by Christian Philipp Emanuel Bach.

Accordionist Kiara Janko has won over 30 prizes at national and international competitions, including a first prize, gold plaque and two special awards at the 52nd TEMSIG competition, a primo premio assoluto and a coveted solo concert at the “Talento Contemporaneo” International Competition in the Church of Saint Andrea and Mattia in Colloredo di Monte Albano, and a first prize at the Tomaž Holmar International Music Competition in Malborghetto. She has performed at the Pro et Contra event organised by the Academy of Music in Pula and appeared at the Solo e da Camera  festival. As a finalist in the Virtuosi V4+ competition in 2022, she performed at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest accompanied by the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. She has also appeared as a soloist with the Zagrebački komorni orkestar (Zagreb Chamber Orchestra) in Poreč and Rovinj.

Patricija Malovrh Mlačnik started learning the viola with Rok Hrvatin at Ljubljana Moste-Polje Music School before going on to the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet, where she studied with Peter Ugrin. She is currently studying with Emile Cantor at the Ljubljana Academy of Music. Her competition successes include two gold plaques and two first prizes at the TEMSIG competition, two gold plaques and the title of laureate at an online competition hosted in Belgrade and a third prize and the title of laureate at the Rudolf Barshai International Strings Competition. She is a member of the string chamber orchestra Camerata Laibach, with which she has won numerous international prizes. She has also won a first prize at TEMSIG and a Škerjanc Prize as a member of the Ameba String Quartet. In 2022 she gave a solo viola recital as part of the Meet Me at the Magistrat recital series. In 2023 she appeared as a soloist at four concerts in the GM oder series. She has attended masterclasses and seminars with teachers such as Wendy Enderle-Champney, William Coleman, Megumi Kasakawa, Emile Cantor and Maja Rome, among others. She collaborates with the Amadeo Orchestra, the Alumni Symphony Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra (with which she has also performed concerts abroad). She recently passed an audition at SNG Opera and Ballet Maribor for the forthcoming season.

Vid Ibic is a 20-year-old pianist from Koper. He began his musical career at the age of six in the class of Valentina Češnjevar. He continued his studies with Selma Chicco Hajdin while also attending a preparatory course at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts with Zuzana Niederdorfer, where he will complete his undergraduate studies this year. So far, he has won twenty-seven prizes at national and international competitions, including ten absolute first prizes. His major awards include first prize at the Zlatko Grgošević International Piano Competition in Zagreb, golden plaque and first prize at the TEMSIG in 2016, 2019, and 2022, winner of the International Music Competititon Young Talents Competition of the City of Gorizia in 2019, winner and fifth prize at the International Piano Competition in Canada in 2021 and winner of third prize at the Nomea International Piano Competition in 2021. He regularly hones his skills in summer schools and piano seminars with renowned musicians. He has made several recordings in the professional studios of Radio Koper and PianoRoom, performed as part of the RTV Young Virtuosi series and the Arsonore festival in Graz, and participated in the Maribor Summer Nights with a solo concert. He also performed as a soloist with the orchestra in Graz, with the international youth orchestra IPSIA and with the Slovenian Philharmonic.
