After the stunning success of their last year’s guest appearance at the Ljubljana Festival, we are looking forward again to a ballet evening by the famous company from Lausanne. Three choreographies from their touring programme were singed by their founder, Maurice Béjart, and one by their current artistic director Gil Roman. The four choreographies are quite different from each other, thus the dancers will be subordinating their steps to the four entirely contrasting scores – traditional Indian music in the ballet Bhakti III, music by Chopin and Francesco Cilea, chosen by Béjart for his Etude pour une Dame aux Camelias, an original composition by Citypercussion, used by Roman for his choreography Là où sont les oiseaux, whereas the title of the fourth choreography already speaks for itself – the dancers will be dancing to the music by Jacques Brel and Barbara.
