On Monday, 6 September 2021, the programme Portret Edwarda Cluga in vrhunci festivalske Ljubljane (A Portrait of Edward Clug and the Highlights of the Ljubljana Festival) was broadcast on Televizija Slovenija 1.
Among other things, the programme prepared by Tina Šrot also presented the work of Edward Clug, whose career path from a dancer to an artistic director and one of the world’s most sought-after choreographers started thirty years ago in Maribor. A part of the programme was also dedicated to this year’s 69th Ljubljana Festival, its background and future projects. Some renowned artists shared their views on this and the festival’s long-standing director, Darko Brlek, provided some more details on the roof construction and ownership of the Križanke outdoor theatre.
The programme also looked back at the history of one of Slovenia’s most popular festivals, Poletje v stari Ljubljani (Summer in Ljubljana Old Town), discussing the challenges of hosting such a festival with the director of Imago Sloveniae, which is the event’s organiser.
