The renowned Glinka Choir fascinated the audience last year, and we are rightly looking forward to their next performance in Slovenia. The programme will be very interesting, since they will be joined in Ljubljana by the Philharmonic Percussion Ensemble, which is this year’s winner of the Prešeren Fund Award. Together, they will perform a composition by the Russian composer Valery Gavrilin, who even today, fifteen years after his death, is a much respected artist whose works are often performed, a winner of the highest awards, an Honoured Artist of Russia and a recipient of the USSR State Prize.
At two concerts in Slovenia, the Glinka Choir will also present Russian religious music and Russian folk songs, which never fail to capture the listener’s heart.
