RTV Slovenia and the Ljubljana Festival are dedicating this year’s Summer Night concert to a celebration of the 60-year musical career of songwriter and performer Janez Bončina, better known as Benč. The traditional gala concert presenting the rich heritage of Slovene popular music, featuring a big revue orchestra and a starry line-up of guest singers, will offer new versions of some of Benč’s biggest hits: “Ta noč je moja”, “Kadar ognji dogorijo”, “Maja z biseri”, “Ob šanku”, “Zlata obala”, “Nosila je rdečo rožo”, “V veri, da boš srečna”, “Ljubil bi se” and “Navali narod na gostilne”, among others. This unique musical journey in the company of Benč’s friends will be presented by Jurij Zrnec.
