We would like to kindly invite you to join us via free streaming at ljubljanafestival.si on Monday, 15 April, at the press conference, which will take place at 12.00 pm in Križanke Knights’ Hall. The general and artistic director of the Ljubljana Festival, Darko Brlek, will present the opening concert of the 38th Slovenian Music Days together with Matej Šarc, director of the Slovenian Philharmonic and artistic director of the orchestra. Pianists Lovorka Nemeš Dular and Nina Prešiček Laznik will also talk about the composition dedicated to them by Uroš Rojko, which will be premiered in the middle of the concert. Jernej Weiss will dedicate a few words to the International Musicological Symposium, which this year treats music as an interpretive art. This year, for the first time, we are also organizing the International Student Symposium. We will also be joined by Dušan Bavdek, president of the Society of Slovenian Composers. The Night of Slovenian Composers  concert and the Concert Atelier of the Society of Slovene Composers  will be held in cooperation with the association.
In cooperation with Glasbena matica Ljubljana, next Monday, April 22, we will listen to Mirko Polič’s lieder. The evening will be presented by the president of the society, Veronika Brvar. This year’s festival of music will end with a concert performed by the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Steven Loy and violinist Lana Trotovšek as a soloist. The latter will also briefly present the closing concert at a press conference.
