Leon Ravnikar began learning the guitar at the age of seven with teacher Denis Kokalj at Škofja Loka Music School, before going on to study at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet. He has taken part in numerous national and international competitions and won several prizes, including first prizes at competitions in Romania, Austria and Italy, a gold plaque and special awards at TEMSIG competitions (2021, 2024), prizes at competitions in Sarajevo, Krško and Montenegro and third prize at the Great Talent Award competition organised by the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He is currently studying with Nejc Kuhar at the latter university, having achieved the highest score of all candidates in the entrance exams. As member of Duo Chameleon (with Polish guitarist Kamil Anioł) he won a second prize at the Altamira Gorizia Guitar Competition and the Grand Prix at the international competition and festival Baltic Guitar Days in Poland (2023). He is also a recipient of the Škerjanc Prize for outstanding artistic achievement. He has performed at prestigious venues in Slovenia and abroad and attended masterclasses with teachers such as Paolo Pegoraro and Augustin Wiedemann, among others. He is considered one of the finest young guitarists performing today, as demonstrated by his numerous prizes and notable successes in competitions.
Ana Gorjanc began playing the guitar at Kranj Music School, where she was taught by Nataša Bogataj. She won first prizes at the Young Musicians International Competition of the city of Trevsio (2011) and the TEMSIG competition (2012) while still very young. She continued her musical training with Igor Saje at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet. She has achieved several international successes including second prizes at Krško Guitar Days (2016, 2017) and prizes at the Altamira Gorizia Guitar Competition, the Zagreb Guitar Festival and Forum Gitarre Wien (in Vienna). She has also won a gold diploma at the TEMSIG competition as half of a duo with Tinkara Majcen and a gold diploma and first prize in the solo guitar category (at the 2018 edition of the competition). She is a recipient of the Škerjanc Prize and was among the successful applicants to the Zavarovalnica Triglav Young Hopes project in 2018. She is a graduate of the Vigo Superior Music Conservatory, where she studied with Margarita Escarpa and participated in a student exchange at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where she was mentored by Laura Young. In 2023 she won a second prize at the VelEspaña International Classical Guitar Competition. Since then she has won a first prize at TEMSIG 2024 and a special prize at the 2024 Sinaia Guitar Festival. She has participated in international festivals including Guitar Week in Postojna, Forum Gitarre Wien, the International Guitar Festival José Tomás Villa de Petrer and the International Festival Guitarra de Guimarães and has attended masterclasses with world-renowned artists such as Álvaro Pierri, Marcin Dylla, Brian Head, Judicael Perroy, Zoran Dukić and Aniello Desiderio.
