The ballet creation of Valentina Turcu and Leo Mujić, Dangerous Liaisons, emerged from the theme of the novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. The book is an acute critique of the French aristocracy of his time. Laclos opens up dimensions of the intimate and public, the individual and social. After its successful run at the Drama Theatre in Maribor, Dangerous Liaisons return to the grand ballet podium in a new creative dimension, and will come to life accompanied by the music of various masters of Baroque music.

The authors are well aware that we are still in some kind of Baroque time, witnessing abuse of power, emotional manipulation, competition between the sexes, intrigues, at the same time we manipulate ourselves under the gilliotine. Knowing that only love is beyond the borders of weakness and control, this liberates the soul, and today, freedom of choice (unlike in the Baroque period) gives us the ultimate freedom.
