Branimir Slokar is a world-class musician, trombone virtuoso and at the same time a devoted pedagogue. With artistic enthusiasm, technical perfection and musical innovation based on hard work, he has enabled the trombone to arise to prominence as an equal soloist’s instrument to all others. He has been playing with the greatest conductors and orchestras in the world. The extensive knowledge and experience he has gained through many years of orchestral, chamber and soloist’s performance and as a professor at prestigious music education institutions, he now unselfishly transfers to younger generations. The result of his dedication to teaching are many established trombonists who occupy the leading positions in many great orchestras and give professor Slokar great credit for their successful ascent among successful musicians and regard him as their main musical idol.
“…he is very simply one of the most competent trombone soloist of our time.” (American Review)
