This concert will be like an intense address to the audience, which will begin with the performance of a work for string orchestra and percussion The (Uncertain) Four Seasons – Ljubljana 2050, by Antonio Vivaldi and artificial intelligence algorithms, as a direct sound picture of our seriously damaged environment and nature’s uncertain future.
Open your eyes and speak is what we are being told to do by heralds of the younger generation, with one of the most prominent figures from the Slovenian hip-hop scene Masayah, joined by the rappers Emkej, Drill, Slick, Vazz, N3, Matter (Dacho, Tunja), Žena, La Bagra (Smirbe, Chiro, Ghet) and Zlatko. It is in this style that they will bring to life and interpret poems by some of the giants of Slovene literature – Prešeren, Župančič, Zajc, Šalamun and others – gathered in a book of Slovene rebel poetry and the album H2SO4.
They will share the stage with musicians from the Music for the Future symphony orchestra, the violin soloist Maja Horvat and Ivan Lotrič. Their united voice is the spirit of our time, the voice of the future, with hope and heart extended to us.
