As the summer holidays come to an end, we will be organising the traditional dance and movement workshops and a final performance for physically handicapped children undergoing rehabilitation at URI Soča, as part of the project Committed to Steps. We have been participating in the project for several years, working together with Zavarovalnica Sava and the University Rehabilitation Institute Soča. The children from URI Soča will spend a week in the company of children who do not have severe physical disabilities and attend contemporary dance workshops at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet, which was a partner in the project for the first time in 2023. Every year, the workshops help raise awareness and break down prejudices about children’s physical disabilities. The children forge invaluable bonds and enjoy dancing together. After the end of the workshops, the children will present their work to visitors in a final dance performance at Križanke in Ljubljana. As always, free entry tickets will be available for the event.
