Zuzanna Basinska

From early childhood, Polish-born Zuzanna Basinska has been an appreciated and talented chamber musician. She started playing with other musicians at the age of 7, forming various instrumental duos and trio swith whom she achieved great success in many competitions. She has performed in such prestigious concert venues as Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Austrian Cultural Forum, Italian Cultural Institute, British Ambassador’s Residence ‘Villa Wolkonsky’ in Rome, The Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Luslawice, The Royal Lazienki Museum in Warsaw, Poznan Philharmonic Hall, Aula Nova and much more.

Zuzanna is a laureate of many international competitions, she was also a scholar of the Business and Professional Women’s Club Poznan as well as the Feliks Nowowiejski Society. She was awarded the City of Poznan Awards and the Prime Minister Award for special achievements. During 2009-2012 she was a scholar of The National Fund for Youth. Zuzanna took part in numerous piano coursesand chamber master classes in Sweden, England, Germany and Poland, studying with many eminent professors: Helmut Deutsch, Bengt Forsberg, Vanessa Latarche, Kevin Kenner, Colin Carr, Leonid Kerbel, Lewis Kaplan, Kaja Danczowska, Fumiko Eguchi, Anna Malikova, José Gallardo, Sergey Kravchenko, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Edward Zienkowski, Waldemar Andrzejewski, Jozef Stompel and Wojciech Switala. She has performed with such artists as Mats Lidstrom, Szymon Krzeszowiec, Piotr Janosik and Maciej Mlodawski.

Zuzannagraduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London with distinction, additionally receiving the August Manns Prize. Her studies with Michael Dussek and James Baillieu were fully supported by the Gilling Family Scholarship and the Benjamin Dale Award. Also, she completed her studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, studying piano with Jerzy Sterczynski. She works at the University of Arts in Berlin and the Academy of Arts in Szczecin.
